Motorists are warned of roadworks leading to delays along the Road R558 in the area around Lenasia and Azaadville, south of Johannesburg. The contractor has committed to completing the project within the next four weeks (end of July 2019 latest).

The main objectives of the roadworks project are to:

- Address access challenges at the intersection of the newly established township of Lufhereni; 
- Add a turning lane at the intersection to improve mobility from both approaches;
- Address and minimise traffic congestion (R558);
- Minimise accidents and fatal crashes involving pedestrians.
