​Section71(7) of the MFMA requires the Provincial Treasury to publish a consolidated statement on the state of municipal budgets per municipality after the end of each quarter. The publication is based on the numbers/ figures as reported by all municipalities in the Province.
The Provincial treasury extracted these figures from the National Treasury Local Government database.
