MEC Kedibone Diale-Tlabela condemns taxi-related killing of Mr. BJ Mahlangu
Gauteng MEC for Transport and Logistics Kedibone Diale-Tlabela sends her heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of BJ Mahlangu who was gunned down on Friday,14 October 2022.
MEC Diale-Tlabela condemns with the contempt it deserves the senseless killing and says it is an indictment on the strides and progress achieved to date by the taxi industry in its entirety.
Whilst appealing for calm, peace, and unity, MEC Diale-Tlabela has expressed concern that these killings hamper on the anticipated transformation of the industry and extensive work done on modelling it as the best run black-owned industry that significantly contributes to the GDP.
The MEC commits to utilizing all at her disposal to mitigate taxi violence and taxi killings.
MEC together with the Gauteng Taxi Industry leadership of SANTACO and NTA will on Tuesday,18th October 2022 visit the Mahlangu family to pay homage.
