​The Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko will tomorrow, Friday, 19 May 2023 take part in the launch of Women in Health (WIH) initiative. 

The WIH which is championed by African Ambition Consulting is aimed at ensuring that there is an inclusive structure that seeks to advocate for the advancement of women in health across the board. 

MEC Nkomo-Ralehoko described the move to establish WIH as an idea whose time has come saying just as women have coordinated themselves in other sectors where you have women in construction and ICT etc it was inevitable that women in the health sector will follow suite.

“Women are the life blood of the health sector and have continued to play a catalytic role across various levels. WIH will enable the exchange of best practices and allow for women to leverage off each other and to also advance their own development,” pointed out the MEC. 

The launch of Women in Health will take place as follows:
