MEC of Finance Jacob Mamabolo says the Gauteng Provincial Treasury (GPT) has appointed ten (10) technical advisors and is in the process of deploying them to various municipalities as part of efforts to enhance financial management capacity in local government.

MEC Mamabolo said this development forms part of Provincial Treasury's Municipal Finance Hands-on Support Programme (MFHSP) to municipalities and will go a long way in addressing the financial management and financial reporting capacity challenges in local government.
