The Construction of Vaal River City Interchange (K174/R42) with
Vaal River City Link Road (1.37km) and the Upgrading and Construction of
intersections at Ascot on Vaal Road.
Amongst the main objectives is the construction of the K174
(R42)/Vaal River City Link Road Interchange between the existing R59 Interchange
and the Ascot on Vaal Intersection and Ascot Intersections.
Construction is located approximately 1.3 kilometres to the
west of the existing K174/R59 Interchange. The next existing intersection further
west from the proposed position for the new interchange is the K174/ Ascot on
Vaal Road intersection at approximately 1.2 kilometres from the interchange.
