Construction of Road K46 (P79/1) Phase 2 between PWV 5 and
N14 (P158/2) (Diepsloot)
Contract duration is 16 months. The project was disrupted
and works suspended until resumption in February 2022. It is estimated to be
completed by the end of the year.
The road construction is located in Diepsloot in the
Fourways area, north of Johannesburg. Construction commenced at Erling Road
Interchange adjoining Phase 1 at km 7.5 and continuing in the north direction
ending a km 13.8 after the N14.
K46 follows the existing alignment with deviation in certain
areas due to geometric constraints. The project when complete will improve
traffic capacity in the North-South direction between the N1 and N14.
