Gauteng MEC for Health, Dr Bandile Masuku recently visited Lenasia South Community Health Centre (CHC) to check on the progress in the facility with regards to COVID 19 readiness.

Post the completion of the infrastructure upgrades the facility will have 103 beds dedicated for COVID 19 and will also presents an opportunity for the Department to achieve some of our key priority objectives of the 6 administration.

Improving our facilities as part of getting ready for the roll out of the NHI is priority for the Department.  The increased bed capacity at Lenasia CHC will strengthen Gauteng’s efforts in the fight against COVID-19 in the Johannesburg District.
