Gauteng MEC for Health, Dr Bandile Masuku recently visited Lenasia South Community Health Centre (CHC) to check on the progress in the facility with regards to COVID-19 Gauteng Health MEC, Dr Bandile Masuku accepted donations last Saturday from various donors who heeded the call to boost the efforts to fight the spread of Covid-19 in our province and country.
The donations included Personal Protective Equipment and other necessities which will come handy to health workers at Nasrec Expo Centre as well as other health facilities in the province.
The donations were received from: MTN, Defy, SAB and Heineken.
“We are thankful for the generous donations the department is receiving on a continuous business. This kind of assistance comes at the time when the country is joining hands together to make sure that our people are protected against COVID-19, particularly our healthcare workers. We have always maintained that the health system in Gauteng must be patient-centered, clinician led and stakeholder driven” said MEC Bandile Masuku.
