As part of the Gauteng Provincial Government's School Readiness Programme, MEC Jacob Mamabolo, on Monday, 15 February 2021, visited two schools in Tsakane and Duduza in the City of Ekurhuleni. The MEC was accompanied by the City's MMC for City Planning Cllr Ndosi Shongwe.
The schools visited by the MEC included Matshediso School for Learners with Special Educational Needs in Tsakane as well as NN Ndebele Secondary School in Duduza.
The purpose of the programme is, amongst other things, oversee the re-opening of both schools, asses state of readiness in relation to learner support material, admissions and educator attendance.
All non-pharmaceutical measures of sanitising, mask wearing and maintaining of social distancing were observed in all our schools in Gauteng. #Back2SchoolGP2021
