In an effort to upscale Covid-19 screening and testing in Pretoria, the Gauteng Department of Health has joined forces with REBOSIS Property Fund and Faithcare Medicals in setting up testing stations at various malls.
MEC for Health in Gauteng, Dr Bandile Masuku as well as Deputy Chairperson and CEO of REBOSIS, Dr Sisa Ngebulana this week officially opened Forest Hill City Testing station in Centurion.
The testing station will assist to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic by giving shoppers and members of the general public around the shopping centre access to screening and testing facilities, at no cost to the public.
A key strategy to reducing the spread of Coronavirus is to screen and test as many people as possible so that those that test positive can be referred for medical management and their contacts traced.
As of Tuesday, 26 May 2020, Gauteng Province had screened about five million people and conducted over 100 000 tests.
