​In an effort to promote access to health care services and healthy lifestyles amongst communities, the Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko will on Friday, 11 October, launch the Corner-to-Corner campaign which aims to transform the use of street corners from being places for substance abuse and delinquency to places of healing. 

Through the Corner-to-Corner camps, the GDoH, working with multiple stakeholders and sister departments, will promote health literacy, healthy lifestyle and interpersonal relationships among the community members. 

The campaign will target street corners and ensure the provision of a range of health services including Diabetes and Hypertension screenings, Pap-smear, HIV counselling and testing, provision of Post-Exposure and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, mobile X-ray, dental care, child immunisation and Deworming, Prostate cancer screening, STI screening and basic treatment and TB screening amongst others.
