Public notice on the sale of RDP houses:
A beneficiary is only allowed to sell his/her
RDP 8 years after having received the title deed for the house.
The priority
when selling the house after 8 years, as per the pre-emotive clause in the
title deed suggests that the RDP house be sold back to the Department of
Human Settlements. The Department does not encourage people to sell their
houses.
